DIS 2016 will be held at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Gardens Point Campus. QUT is Australia’s top university under 50 years old, and is rated 26th in the world in the Times Higher Education listing. The Gardens Point Campus is adjacent to the Brisbane Botanical Gardens, and to Brisbane’s CBD itself, on the river front.

The conference venue, the QUT Science and Engineering Centre (SEC), is a brand-new, worldclass AU$ 230 million facility that is ideally located in the centre of Brisbane with a variety of accommodation options within walking distance.

 
 
 

The Cube

Located within the SEC, The Cube is one of the world’s largest digital interactive and multitouch display spaces for science, technology, engineering and maths. The Cube comprises of over 40 multi-touch, multi-user and interactive screens and is a strong example of the worldclass environment for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) learning, research and engagement occurring in Brisbane. It is complemented by the university’s strong commitment to and investment in the creative industries and design.
